The West Room
THE spot to be for morning coffee, aprés beach or evening stargazing
The West Room has had an update this year. Decorated with a coastal vibe in shades of serene white and blue, and furnishings that are contemporary and comfy, your stay will be delightful! The bathroom has also had a complete makeover with a quartz walk in-shower, lots of counter and drawer space and limestone floor from the Peninsula.
The West Room is beautifully appointed with deluxe, crisp white bed linens from Au Lit, two easy chairs, reading lamp, accessible receptacles for device chargers, an under counter fridge, glassware and mugs, Nespresso coffee machine and capsules, kettle, assorted teas, filtered water, cream, and sugar. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with both a rainshower head and a hand held, loads of counter space and lots of fluffy, white towels. Toiletries include soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner, all custom blended just for us by Re:Mind Wellness Refillery. Oversized cotton bathrobes are in the closet and a shoe cloth, shower cap and sewing kit are also in the drawer for your convenience.
If you find you must work while visiting, there is a small desk in the room to make setting up your office away simple and the wifi makes Zoom calls effortless. The room has independent air conditioning control and a flatscreen tv that streams Netflix.
Each morning we're happy to come in and freshen your room, make the bed, remove laundry and dishes. Otherwise, we can provide fresh towels, filtered water and clean dishes on tables outside your room. All of our guests have access to The Sun Deck - it's 800 square feet and is furnished with chairs, loungers and bistro tables and you're welcome to pick fresh herbs for your afternoon tea or cocktail. Enjoy morning coffee or some star gazing - the Perseid meteor shower is in August and you'll have a hard time keeping up with your wishes on shooting stars! There are also proper dishes, cutlery and glassware if you choose to bring food in. A freezer with ice buckets loaded and ready is also in the main hall.
We've got beach towels and totes for borrowing (or buying!), and Southampton is a great place for cycling. We have two bikes that are usually available to borrow (please bring your own helmets), or bring your own, we have a lockup for your use. Bikes may also be rented at Martin's Bike Shop up the street.
