Plus ça change, plus ça même chose...

Well, here we are again. That being said, we are looking forward to things opening in May safely and with many of us having had (at least), our first vaccine dose. Yay for that!

We're also looking forward to another amazing summer in Southampton, both in terms of weather and beach time, and with new and return guest visits. It's always a delight to welcome guests back to the Inn and to meet guests who are visiting the area for the first time. There's so much to do! Beach walks at sunset, Bruce Trail hikes, paddling the Mighty Saugeen or venturing up the Peninsula, perhaps to the Fishing Islands or The Tub. Fine dining (The Deck awaits you and your take away meal with patio seating, or lounges to enjoy morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail),or one of Southampton's great street patios - topped off with an ice-cream extravaganza from FUN, downstairs.

And let's not forget biking! Southampton is a great spot to start a cycle adventure, whether it's around town to admire the Victorian architecture, go from our harbour to the Port Elgin Harbour (16 km return trip), take the rail trail out to MacGregor Point for some bird watching, up to Sauble Beach or even the fen at Oliphant. Not quite sure where to go? Let Paul be your guide! He's planning to best his record of over 5,000 kms last year and welcomes any excuse to take to the saddle. (This year's goal is 7,000 km and now that I've said it out loud, the pressure is on!). So bring your bikes. We have a secure lock up for you. No bikes? You can always borrow ours.

Let's catch up this summer!
